Capote Eyewear was founded in 2016 by Alex Capote, a designer originally from Venezuela. After visiting Ibiza in 2007, Alex fell in love with the island’s vibrant atmosphere and decided to move there permanently a year later. Immersing himself in its artistic and aesthetic energy, he explored various creative fields, from cinema and theater to design. His journey into the eyewear world began as a collector of vintage sunglasses. In 2014, he opened his first store specializing in vintage eyewear. This experience led him, in 2015, to create his own brand, with the goal of redefining eyewear by combining artisanal tradition, innovative materials, and an unconventional aesthetic.
